How to bypass Chrome blocking the download of the Windows recorder

If using Google Chrome browser, Chrome may block the download of our Windows recorder. Even though our software is not malicious, due to the nature of monitoring software it can be deemed dangerous. Please follow the below steps to bypass this if you encounter this issue:

  1. If you see the following message in the lower left corner of Chrome when downloading our installer: 
  2. Open the 3 dot menu in the top right of the browser and select Settings. 
  3. Select "Privacy and Security" > "Sync and Google services" 
  4. Under "Other Google Services" locate "Safe browsing (protects you and your device from dangerous sites" and toggle this OFF 
  5. Now proceed to download the recorder again. Chrome will no longer block the download.
